Try working in an office with only one other person - and that person being your boss. Who is a complete idiot. He has the memory of a goldfish, and forgets everything. He will tell me to do a task, and 10 minutes into it he will say, "Why are you doing that"? Or he will forget to ask me to do something and then get mad at me for not doing it. He can never remember to call potential clients back, and acts like it's my fault that we are not at 100% occupancy. For example, if I show someone an apartment and give them an application, and they never turn it in, THAT he will remember and then somehow I did something to cause them to not want it.

Also, as I don't have a set schedule, he will say, "Can you come in tomorrow at 10:30 to file?" So I show up at 10:30 and he asks why I'm late, cause he told me to come in at 8 or some shit like that. One time he accused me of losing an application for an apartment. He made a huge deal out of it and he hadn't even looked for it before accusing me. After searching for it I had discovered that he had already filed it, and all the sudden it wasn't a big deal anymore. He makes mistakes all the time, and trys to pawn them off on me. Every time, it's like the end of the world, unless I can prove he did it and then it's not a big deal. But when I make a mistake, even a typo or just a mind slip, he humiliates me by training me all over again and explaining why it needs to done this or that way.

He talks nonstop about his son, and I have to listen to every story about every thing this spoiled brat does. He will tell me the same story over and over again, day after day, because he can't fucking remember that he told me already. Plus he always asks me to buy this kid's damn fundraiser stuff. I have been working for this fool for months, and just last week I found out he has 3 other kids. I feel so bad for them! His one son gets everything including a go kart, and his other kids seem like they don't even matter to him. I also feel bad for his wife. He goes to dating websites for sugar daddies, which makes me very uncomfortable cause I'm a 20 year old woman. It makes me wonder if that is why he hired me, cause before I found this out, he was telling me how all the other applicants for my job were old and "unpolished".

During a usual day, he will take several trips out of the office and be gone for 1 to 3 hours, or he will leave early and still get claim he worked those hours. When he is here, he is on facebook or watching tv shows online. Today he was watching a tv show, I was in the back room doing something, and the phone rang. 1 ft from his fucking face. He called me in to answer it when it was right in front of him. Then the person asked for him! So I gave the phone to him and he looked like he wanted to kill me.

My boss was running his mouth about The Patriot and how he was disappointed the star Mel Gibson was from Australia. I didn't have the heart to tell him Heath Ledge was too. He mumbled about how it would have been better if American actors were used to play American colonists. He finished by telling us he knew the whole movie was "fake" because "England would never go to war with us. They're our friends".

Who do you think we declared independence from? The Russians? Somehow he's in charge.

My boss didn't show up until 3:30. The office opens at 8:30. We had a very important meeting scheduled for 10am. More than a dozen people rearranged their schedule to attend. My boss blew it off. Why? She said her nanny was sick and she had to do the grocery shopping all by herself. I really don't know what makes my boss more idiotic. 1. She thinks missing a meeting due to grocery shopping is a decent reason or 2. she was really baffled by the idea of having to do her own grocery shopping.

Today my boss proudly walked in with a sterling silver Menorah. He was attempting to be politically correct and show his support for the Jewish employees celebrating Hannukah. He lit one of the candles...ok fine.

It'll be interesting to see what he does when he tries to light the sixth candle. This idiot bought a five-candle candelabra (like you would see on a piano during a classical music recital). Nobody is saying anything. We're just laughing behind his back. Somehow he's in charge.

Today my stupid boss proudly announced that she collected over 20 pounds of clams while "clam bumping" at the beach yesterday. I really hope she meant "clam digging".

My stupid boss received a mangled piece of mail from the post office. It was an invoice that he had sent out. Somehow, it was so mangled that the only thing legible was our address and a portion of the address it should have been sent to. This invoice was in shreds. I arrived to work with a note in bold, red ink asking me to talk to him before I did anything about this shredded invoice. With his hand shaking he asked me what I would do. I told him I would re-invoice the client, he added, "Is that all?". He wanted me to go to the post office and have them refund the value of the postage!!!! I couldn't stop laughing. Later, as I retold this story a friend told me I should have taken the shredded paper, left for the day, and come back hours later with 44 cents, and tell my boss that I took on the post office and won!
