Today my stupid boss bought a new cell phone. Last night he dropped his in his pool. That should have been the end of it. It wasn't. He put his phone in the dryer thinking it would fix it. Now he's out a phone and his dryer needs servicing to remove the tiny shards of glass when the phone screen smashed apart.

Yesterday my stupid boss had his broken UPS (battery-backup) replaced for his computer, printer, monitor, etc. He didn't like where the IT team put the last one, so my boss decided to move if a few feet across the room. This required plugging it into a different wall outlet.

What he couldn't figure out is that this outlet is connected to the light switch and power gets turned off when he kills the lights. We've spent the last two days listening to him swearing and yelling at his UPS for making noise (the low power alarm) because he shuts off his lights everytime he goes to the bathroom, lunch, meetings or home for the day. We've been having too much fun laughing at him to point out how to fix it. The ironic thing is that our company sells software. You would think that someone who supposedly understands technology enough to sell it to other companies could at least handle the technology in his own office.

I found this job posting on Craigslist. I'm guessing the extra commentary is from a former employee who got access because a stupid boss didn't change the password.

Toolmaker guy walks into the office, happens to be black, great guy, way, way smarter than the local norm, says, "Which of these is the color printer?" To which the boss replies, "things ain't like that any more, you can use whichever printer you want."

Today my boss began screaming and cursing at his new Droid phone. He was browsing the internet before lunch and when he came back his "internet was half the size". I asked him what he meant and he told me his phone was broken because his screen was half the size it was before lunch and now he can't see anything online.

I told him to turn his phone sideways. Problem solved.
